How to prepare the Announcement for the
Defense of Your M. S. Thesis
(Use two or more lines if necessary)
Abstract
This is a suggested format for MS thesis defense announcement.
Prepare the announcement on letter size paper (8.5 in x 11 in), on one
side only. Use the font Times New Roman (or an equivalent one) with the
size of 12 points throughout the page, There should be a one-inch margin
on all sides of the announcement. The abstract should be single apaced
and justified on the right, The length of the abstract should be between
100 and 200 words. If there are spaces left, distribute them among
various sections of the announcement (e, g., the space between the title
and abstract betweem the stucent's name and the title).
If your announcement deviates from the suggested format too much, you
may be asked to submit a revised copy. If, for unforeseeable reasons, you
have to change the date and/or time of the defense, it will be treated as
a new request. On the second announcement, please mark "***Revised***"
clearly on top of the page.
