an official degree plan?

COSC declared as the major, have junior standing, and have credit for

What are the steps I must take to
graduate?
Pay attention to the prerequisites for your courses. Successfully
complete all required courses. Maintain a GPA above a 2.0

your
minor. Have a degree plan on file. File
for graduation at the Registrar’s office prior to the deadline for
graduation applications. (This should be done during the first 3

are the requirements?
You must file an application with the COSC department for a minor
degree plan. You must have a 2.0 GPA overall, in COSC, and also
in MATH. There are 19 hours needed to complete the minor.
How do you
calculate each of my GPA’s?
Overall GPA we start with the grades you made most recently and
calculate the GPA until we have 60 hours of credit. If 60 hours
falls in the middle of a semester we include all the hours from that
semester. We look at courses at every school you have attended in
the last 60 hours.
Math GPA. We look at every attempt of every math course you have taken in your college career. Each attempt at a course counts in the GPA. Therefore if you take a course and the first time make an F, second time a D and the third time an A, each of those grades and the hours count in your GPA. We use grades from all colleges you have attended.
COSC GPA. We look at every attempt of every COSC course you have taken in your college career and calculate the GPA. We use grades from all colleges attended. Each attempt at a course counts in the GPA.

difference between the Software Design, Science and the Business options?
All options require 44 hours of COSC, 14 hours Natural Sciences

21 hours of Mathematics, and completion of the University Core.
The Software design option requires two additional COSC courses in software design and software development practices, and 9 hours of electives at least 6 hours regular 3000-4000 level cosc electives.
