The additional funding covers Phase II of the project and brings the total funding for the year to $303,000. Three students and one post-doc are being supported by this project. Drs. Jean Paris and Ridgway Scott are also working on the project with Dr. Johnson. In April Dr. Johnson and Dr. Yoonho Park, the post-doc, will travel to Tokyo to present a report on the project to the NEC Central Research Laboratory that sponsors the project. The UH activity is part of a larger research effort on parallel processing that involves NEC's Research Lab in Princeton, The Houston Area Research Center (HARC) and the Central Research Lab in Tokyo. Information on this project and other High Performance Computing Projects at UH are available in http://sina.tcamc.uh.edu which will shortly be connected to the UH home page. =============================================================== Navy's Real-Time Database Grant A grant was awarded by a Navy contractor to Professor Stephen Huang to participate in the research of a Navy Real-Time Database Management Project.
