TA's Commitment to Department

It has always been the policy of the department that teaching assistants are not allowed to accept other employment without the consent of the department. In addition, once they have accepted the appointment, teaching assistants are committed to serve until the end of the semester. There have been several resignations in the first weeks of this semester. Dr. J. C. Huang, COSC Chairman, has decided that he will not tolerate this type of irresponsible behavior from our TA's any longer. From now on, he will sign the COOP Approval Form only on Dec. 15 and May 15, and only if the TA has done an acceptable job for the department.
