Computer Co-op
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and productive individual to become part of our development team in Houston.
Technical projects involve documentation of SQL Server 2000 infrastructure including database schema, stored queries, stored procedures, and server configurations. There will be SQL Reports development utilizing SQL Reporting Services and .NET technologies and will run under Windows 2003. The applicant must be capable of designing relational databases models and creating ER diagrams. In addition, the applicant will document the existing Sharepoint web portal site infrastructure and content. These projects may involve advanced query building, documenting application and infrastructure, and web administration and development. The co-op will require a good working knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and T-SQL related to Stored Procedures, Dynamic SQL, Complex Queries, Views, and triggers. Experience in SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services, PL/SQL, Microsoft Sharepoint Portal 2003, MS Visio, and Microsoft Office Applications, will be desirable. Knowledge in Visual Studio.NET, XML, and Visual SourceSafe will be a definite plus.
The actual co-op projects may vary depending on the student's capabilities and projects under development at that time. Students must be enrolled in the university’s co-op program and provide documentation of enrollment upon hiring. Students will work at least 20 hours/week while taking 6-9 credit hours in school.
