Job Description:
The contractor will write programs in the PHP language based on functional specifications by Log-On Technologies, LLC. We need an experienced PHP/MySQL developer for long term work with our growing company. The contractor issued the work will work remotely for us on a project basis and will be paid hourly.
Responsibilities & Work Description:
- Project task management for PHP/MySQL projects.
- Work closely with business team members to develop/enhance application based on project scope requirements.
- Read system specifications.
- Read program function specifications.
- Prepare program technical specifications.
- Unit test and correct.
- Modify a range of existing PHP and PHP/MySQL applications.
- Install/upgrade PHP applications.
- Communicate via e-mail and Instant Messenger (ICQ or YIM).
- Other programming/development duties as assigned by Log-On Technologies, LLC
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Know how to program/code in PHP using a MySQL backend.
- Fluent English is required.
- Own computer and high speed Internet.
- Must be able to multi-task & work independently.
- Solid references and examples of previous work a plus.
- Linux Server Administration and HTML/DHTML Development also a plus, but not necessary.
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy.
- Ability to design and implement relational database schemas.
- Ability to design and develop PHP web applications and services by evaluating client specifications.
- Ability to identify constraints and technical issues.
- Ability to develop MSSQL database queries, stored procedures and functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Six months or more of experience in PHP programming and debugging.
- six months or more of contracting experience.
- Experience in defining and accessing in PHP MYSQL or SQL Server databases.
- HTML skills are a plus.
- C++ skills are a plus.
- Proven ability to work remotely.
- Positive attitude.
- Must be reliable, trust-worthy and have a high level of integrity.

- MS SQL Server configuration, tuning and installation
- MySQL Server configuration, tuning and installation
Hourly Contract Rate:
- Negotiable.
