HAVeESP, Inc., founded in 1999, owns one of the largest collections of topic focused, user intuitive domain names (10,000+). Our consumer oriented web business model shifts today’s paradigm from subjective keyboard-entered search terms to an easy to use, topic specific domain, portal and directory system designed for easy click-through navigation. Our model is not intended to replace search engines but to capitalize on both their strengths and inherent limitations. The current online market environment is ideal to fully develop our niche portal model. There are very old (2003) Beta SEO test sites including an “about us” page at www.HAVeESP.com. Sites are dated but overall "About Us" is accurate.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, able to work independently, for part-time contract work to help us realize this model’s potential. Highly flexible hours and majority would be “at home” work. Revenue share, full time and equity interest would certainly be considered for the right person(s).
Responsibilities will include working closely with owners to design and develop a portal template using IndexU and related design upgrades/patches (www.NiceCoder.com). This "master" template will be standardized and used for all subsequent "Greatest Portals". Dedicated Linux based servers are hosted locally by The Planet with server technical oversight provided by TouchSupport.
Position Skill Set
Strong knowledge in PHP, Linux, Apache
Strong SQL and MySQL database skills
Solid working knowledge of HTML and XML formats
Working knowledge of web server management - SSH, cPanel, Plesk, FTP, DNS management, uploading, upgrading and modifying software, patches etc.
Basic understanding of web design and SEO recommended but not necessary
Position: Contract - Part-Time 8-12 hours per week - Again, flexible based on work load.
