Data Conversion to XML
Abstract
Most of the industry's data is stored in flat files such as tab-delimited text, comma separated values, spreadsheets, and in databases which are either relational, hierarchical, or object-based.
Receiving large amounts of information in diverse formats results in difficulities for the applications in refining it. It would be beneficial to be able to read data in a common
open data format, irrespective of its origin. Hence, we propose a data converting software to enable users to interactively transform
data from text files, MS-Excel and databases into XML. This tool has been designed and developed in Java.
