Multidimensional Face Recognition
Abstract
It is becoming increasingly important to be able to credential and identify authorized
personnel and to recognize suspects around critical installations and at key points
of entry, such as airports. We propose a novel facial recognition approach that
employs 3D facial data. Our approach combines subdivision surfaces and deformable
models to produce metadata that are compared for similarity. We have performed
a number of experiments to access the accuracy of our method with very encouraging
results.
