Abstract
A web browser-based user interface system has been implemented for access to a molecular dynamics simulation database. Through this interface, users can view, modify, process, and produce graphical plots of the data available in the database. The user interface was created using the Java Swing Package and the server-side processing is accomplished using Java servlets. The calculation routines to process data are written in C. The interface system has been programmed to incorporate commonly used software packages like gnuplot,xmgr, and webmol. These example software packages are used to generate graphical representations of molecular systems in PDB format, and 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional plots of data analysed from the molecular dynamics simulations.
