Completing the Online Application
- We are in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. (Computer engineering is a separate major in the College of Engineering).
- it is preferred but not required that you send hard copies of your Statement of Purpose and Resume. Where the application requests the Web address, typing "sending hardcopy" will release you to continue the application.
- The application will ask for the e-mail address of recommendations. This does not mean we will contact recommenders for letters. We expect hard-copy letters with the application. The e-mail addresses are for professors who may wish to make offers to ask for more information.
- We do not require transcripts of 10th and 12th level unless applying with a bachelor's from the U.K.
- Please do not attach the student information sheet to each document. One copy is sufficient.
- Please do not put each document in its own envelope, or use report covers. Processing is faster if only the transcripts, degree certificates, and recommendation letters are in the envelopes.
- Please mail all documents to the Department of Computer Science. We realize the UH Admissions Web site and the online application automated acknowledgement will say to mail them to admissions. We have no authority to change their messages, but the admissions mailroom is on the opposite side of the campus, and we do not hunt for documents. There is sometimes a considerable delay before the Office of Admissions forwards documents.
