Dr. Barbara Chapman is Co-Chair of the International Workshop on OpenMP 2007 (IWOMP) which takes place in Beijing, China from June 3 – 7. OpenMP is increasingly viewed as THE programming model for multicore platforms, which are expected to gain a large share of the general purpose computing market in the near future. The workshop is a forum for presenting new ideas and research results related to this portable API for shared memory programming, and is a venue for discussions between users, researchers and vendors.
