SUN Microsystems will present the “Sun Application Tuning Seminar” in the Department of Computer Science, with Dr. Barbara Chapman as the Host, on April 1– 4, 2008, in PGH 563 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Instructors are Mr. Ruud van der Pas, Senior Staff Engineer; Mr. Scott Dickson, Systems Engineer; and Ms. Melinda McDade, HPC Performance Specialist. This training event provides in-depth insight into the process of tuning applications for high performance on current systems, and includes information on how to exploit system multithreading capabilities.
