Grading

Proper grading protocol:

• 6x98 = S, U (or I)  [special problems]
• 6x99 = S, U   [1st semester thesis]
• 7x99 = IP until defended successfully (or unsuccessfully), then S, U [thesis 2nd semester&until defended]
• 8x98 = S, U  [research hours]
• 8x99 = IP until defend successfully, then letter grade [dissertation]

GPA calculation:

• A = 4.0; A- = 3.67
• B+ = 3.33; B = 3.0; B- = 2.67
• C+ = 2.33; C = 3.0; C- = 1.67
• D+ = 1.33; D = 1.0; D- = 0.67
• F = 0
