The sysadmin office is located in 541 PGH. Telephone (713)743-3352
during office hours to report system related problems and request. The
current office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 9am - 5pm; Wednesday,
Thursday 9am - 7pm. Lunch break and class break may apply. We can also
be reached through fax: (713) 743-3335 and email: sysadm@cs.uh.edu
If you cannot find the sysadmin (we do have to leave the office to work
on machines), please page (713) 905-3389; if it's after hours, please
be certain you have a reason to page us ie.: please show some judgement
as to reasonable hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Accounts
Any Computer Science student can apply for an account. To do so, fill
out an application (that can be obtained at 541 or 501 PGH), and submit
it with a copy of your fee bill proving your status in the Computer
Science department. Allow five working days for your account to be
created, and bring a photo ID to 541 PGH during posted office hours to
retrieve your username/password.
