Spring 2013 Presentations *********************************************** Note: Each presentation is around 10 to 15 minutes. For a team project, each member of the team must present. Everyone is expected to attend and ask questions (attendance will be taken). A discussion follows each set of talks. Since you are at the beginning or midway through your project, present an outline of what you are doing and expected results. Write a short review (a paragraph) of each talk for submission with your hardcopy project report (also email me an e-version) due 5:00pm, 5/1/2013. ******** Extension till Monday, 5/6/2013, 5:00pm. Please also send me the presentation slides after the talk. If I am not in my office, slide final hardcopy report under my office door. Please email me your topic and referenced paper(s)' titles at least one week before your presentation. *********************************************** 4/24 Khasnis,Praveena Sujit "Solving the Single Processor Scheduling Problem by using the Ant Colony Optimization Technique," by Reena Thakur and Arun Yadav, International Conference on Communication Systems and Network Technologies, 2012. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manne,Krishna Chaitanya Task Assignment in Distributed Systems: Improving Performance by Unbalancing Load, Authors: M.E. A set of tasks statistically gets a desired share of CPU time, but the distribution of these CPU time is not deterministic. This project is designed to achieve a new scheduling method which give a set of tasks dedicated CPU time along temporal domain. A distinguish benefit is that it guarantees the response time of the tasks been served. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Caunchi,Vishal Raj Naidu ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hao,Liangchi Y.
